Solenoid air valve located within the air line connecting the reserve tank to the air shock absorber and/or springs which, when turned on by the electronic control module, sends compressed air to the piston type air actuators that linearly move each actuator lever to rotate the switch rod of each unit to hard or soft. The switchover of the spring constant and the damping force is made by setting the HARD/SOFT mode switching rod of each shock absorber unit to a fixed angle of rotation. The switchover of the switching rod is made by signals from the Electronic Control Suspension unit, and, by opening or closing the front or rear HARD/SOFT mode switching solenoid valve (HARD/SOFT air valve), thus supplying compressed air from the reserve tank to the actuator (air cylinder), or discharging air within the actuator from the tip of the HARD/SOFT air valve. |a|

CONT 1: The HARD/SOFT air valve which is a solenoid valve used for switching between "HARD" and "SOFT" is always under the air pressure in the reserve tank. The air pressure in the reserve tank is applied to the air actuator when this solenoid valve turns on. The air actuator is released from the air pressure when the solenoid valve is turned off. The air actuators are of piston type, and linearly move each actuator lever to rotate the switch rod of each unit for switching to "HARD" or "SOFT". |b|

CONT 1: L'unité de contrôle commande les soupapes d'air DUR/DOUX des valves électro-magnétiques avant et arrière, d'où la commande de mode à chaque roue est mise en route. |k| La soupape d'air DUR/DOUX, qui est une soupape électro-magnétique utilisée pour la commutation de DUR vers DOUX est toujours sous pression d'air venant du réservoir. La pression du réservoir s'applique à la commande de mode lorsque la soupape d'air est ouverte. Les commandes de mode sont du type à piston et donnent un mouvement linéaire à chaque levier de commande, afin de faire tourner la tige de commutation de chaque amortisseur, pour commuter en DUR ou DOUX. |h|
