The Conference aims to bring together experts, professionals, translators, linguists, and historians who are active in the field of synchronic and/or diachronic maritime terminology. The proposed objectives of the conference are to deal with the various aspects of nautical terminology and lexicography in all areas of activity: merchant shipping, navy, fishing, yachting, oceanography, maritime law, port operations, offshore oil exploration, etc. The conference will provide a forum for discussion of the developments within all languages.
