The traction control function (TCS) takes advantage of comparable changes in certain physical quantities under driving conditions : if a driving wheel begins to spin when moving off or accelerating, the electronic TCS controller evaluates the physical quantities at any given moment within a few milliseconds and issues appropriate instructions for automatic application of the appropriate wheel brake. |a| (INGI-F/E 1989 : 56)
